Content that sounds like you
Your blog hasn't been updated since the receptionist left. That's okay. We've got it.
Allied health content marketing is the planning and writing of website content that helps patients understand their condition and choose your practice. The Practice Engine writes patient education articles and service pages for Australian allied health clinics, in your clinicians' voice, with relevant advertising requirements in mind and practitioner sign-off before anything goes live.
This service is part of our allied health marketing support for Australian practices.

You've got a list of blog ideas somewhere. Probably in your notes app, next to "fix the gutter".
Every week patients ask the same five questions. You answer them brilliantly, in the room. Then that knowledge walks out the door at 5:30pm and never makes it online.
So you outsource it once. The articles come back sounding like a textbook wrote them after a long lunch. Or worse, they promise outcomes you'd never put your name to. Pass the red pen.
It keeps happening because good clinical content needs two things at once. Someone who can write and plan for search, and someone who actually knows the condition. Most content services only bring the first.

Allied health content marketing means publishing useful, accurate information that answers patient questions and brings the right people to your website.
Unlike generic healthcare content marketing, it's patient education first. Articles on heel pain, post-natal recovery or toddler speech milestones. Pages that explain what each service involves and who it's for.
Done well, that content does three jobs. It helps patients decide. It gives Google and AI tools a reason to show your practice. And it gives your team ready-made material for social posts and emails.

This suits practices with real clinical knowledge and no time to write it down.

Days 1-30: Voice and plan. We interview your clinicians to capture how they explain things to patients. We research what your patients search for and map it against your services. You approve a 90-day topic plan before we write a word.
Days 31-60: Core pages first. We write or rewrite your most important condition and service pages. Each draft goes to the relevant practitioner for review and sign-off before publishing.
Days 61-90: Education and repurposing. We start your regular patient education articles. Each one comes with social and email versions ready to schedule. We review early search data together and adjust the plan.
Ongoing: Steady publishing. We keep to an agreed cadence, refresh older content, and fill new gaps as search data reveals them. You stay in control of every clinical claim.

Health content is advertising when it promotes your services. Under section 133 of the National Law, advertising a regulated health service must not be false, misleading or deceptive. It can't use testimonials, create unreasonable expectations of beneficial treatment, or encourage unnecessary use of services. Any offer or discount must state its terms and conditions.
In practice, that means no "fix your back pain in three sessions". No patient stories praising treatment results. No scare tactics nudging people to book "just in case". We write balanced information that explains options and encourages people to get properly assessed.
AHPRA advertising guidance for regulated health services apply to physio, psychology, chiro, podiatry, OT and other regulated professions. Speech pathology, exercise physiology and dietetics are self-regulated, but Australian Consumer Law still applies. Practitioners are responsible for their own advertising, including what we write, so your practice remains responsible for final approval.

Before work starts, we document the agreed work, milestones and review points for the first 90 days. If an agreed item within our control is incomplete at day 90, we continue that agreed work at no management charge until it is complete. The commitment covers work we control. It does not guarantee patient volume, appointments, rankings, revenue or advertising platform outcomes.

Yes, an agency can write content that follows AHPRA's advertising guidelines, but the practitioner stays responsible. We avoid testimonials, outcome promises and unclear offers, and every clinical piece goes to your practitioner for sign-off. Your practice remains responsible for final approval before anything is published.
That's the goal, and it's why we start with a voice interview. We capture how you explain conditions, the words you use and what you always tell patients. Then you review every clinical draft. Most clinicians only need light edits once we've learned their voice.
Content usually takes several months to build search traffic. A new article may take weeks to be indexed and months to settle in search results. Core service pages often show movement first. We track progress in Search Console so you can see impressions and clicks grow over time.
Consistency matters more than volume. For most single-location clinics, a steady monthly rhythm plus strong service pages works well. Larger groups with more services may publish more often. We set a cadence in your 90-day plan based on your search opportunities and capacity to review.
It can help. AI tools tend to draw on clear, well-structured content that directly answers questions. Patient education content written answer-first gives them something useful to cite. Nobody can guarantee an AI will mention you, but good content improves your chances.
Yes. Every article comes with a repurposing pack: short social posts and an email snippet your team can schedule. It means one piece of clinical knowledge works across your website, social channels and patient newsletter, without you writing it three times.
