Marketing for NDIS providers

NDIS marketing for Australian providers

NDIS marketing means helping participants, families and support coordinators find you, trust you and get in touch, without breaking NDIS, ACCC or Ahpra rules.

Participants don't pick providers off a government list. They search, ask their support coordinator and check what other families say. If your website is vague, your Google profile is empty or your service area is unclear, they move on. Our NDIS marketing makes you easy to find, easy to understand and easy to refer, without a single "NDIS approved" claim.

Why NDIS marketing is different.

The NDIS is a $51 billion market with two audiences: participants and their families, and the support coordinators and plan managers who refer them. It's also under a microscope. The ACCC is cracking down on misleading NDIS advertising, and the Code of Conduct covers every provider. Good NDIS marketing reaches both audiences and stays inside every rulebook.

Never

"NDIS approved", "NDIS funded" or "endorsed by the NDIA". The NDIA doesn't approve services, and the ACCC calls these claims misleading.

What participants and families type into Google

4,400 searches for one service. How many find you?

People search by service and suburb, not by provider name. Most clicks go to directories and the three providers on the map. NDIS SEO puts you there for the supports you deliver, with pages that answer what families ask first: are you registered, which areas do you cover, and how soon can you start?

What NDIS marketing involves

6 things decide who gets the referral. You, or them.

Participants, families and support coordinators all check the same things before they call. Get these right and you become the easy choice. Your free report scores every one.

1. Your Google Business Profile

The right primary category, every NDIS support listed, your service area mapped and real photos. Families want to see who'll be walking through their door.

2. Service and region pages

One clear page for each support you deliver and each region you cover, so you show up for "NDIS OT Penrith", not just your business name.

3. Registration, made obvious

Registered or unregistered, which funding types you accept (NDIA, plan or self-managed) and your current wait times. The first three questions every family asks.

4. A page for support coordinators

A referral form, service areas, availability and how you report back. Make life easy for the people who send you participants.

5. Listings that match

The NDIS Provider Finder, Clickability, Healthengine and your own site, all with the same name, address and phone. Google and ChatGPT cross-check them.

6. Accessible site, private tracking

A website that works with screen readers and offers Easy Read options, and tracking that shows which pages bring enquiries without collecting participant details.

What we do for NDIS providers

NDIS marketing that brings the right participants.

How it works

How our NDIS marketing works. In four steps.

01

Audit first

We check how participants, families and coordinators see you today. The Practice Growth Audit shows where referrals go to someone else.

02

Clear the basics

Google profile, service and area pages, registration details and listings. The things every family checks before they call.

03

Win your regions

Pages and profiles for each region and support you cover, so you show up where your participants actually live.

04

Track referrals, not clicks

Enquiries by source, including support coordinator referrals, reported monthly. No participant details, ever.

Where to start

NDIS SEO or Google Ads? Start with your capacity.

Ads bring enquiries fast, but NDIS clicks are expensive: around $36 each for "NDIS plan manager". SEO takes longer and keeps working. Capacity to fill now? Start with ads. Want steady referrals? Start with SEO.

Start with SEO if

  • You want a steady flow of referrals, not spikes
  • You're not showing up for your supports in your regions
  • Support coordinators can't find clear information about you

Add Google Ads if

  • You've just registered or added a new support
  • You have workers or therapists with open capacity now
  • You're expanding into a new region

NDIS, ACCC and Ahpra-aware

What we never write for an NDIS provider

  • "NDIS approved", "NDIS funded" or "endorsed by the NDIA"
  • The NDIS registered provider logo, unless you're registered
  • Testimonials about therapy outcomes for Ahpra-registered services
  • Prices above the NDIS price limits, or hidden extras
  • Pressure tactics that rush a participant or family into deciding

Based on the ACCC, the NDIA, the NDIS Code of Conduct and Ahpra.

Questions NDIS providers ask

NDIS marketing: FAQs explained.

plain answers. no jargon.

How long does NDIS marketing take to work?

Google Ads can bring enquiries within weeks. With SEO, your Google profile and map rankings usually move first, once the basics are fixed in month one. Steady referral growth is a 3 to 6 month job.

Can we say we're "NDIS approved"?

No. The NDIA doesn't approve or endorse providers or services, and the ACCC treats "NDIS approved" as misleading. Registered providers can say they're registered with the NDIS Commission and use the official registered provider logo.

Do you work with unregistered providers?

Yes. Unregistered providers can only serve self-managed and plan-managed participants, so your marketing has to make that clear. The NDIS Code of Conduct and consumer law still apply, and we write to both.

How do we get more support coordinator referrals?

Make their job easy: a referral page, clear service areas and availability, fast replies and reliable reporting back. Then stay in touch. Coordinators refer to providers they remember and trust.

Can we use participant reviews?

It depends on the support. For Ahpra-registered services like OT, physio or psychology, testimonials about clinical outcomes are banned. For other supports, genuine reviews can be used as long as they aren't edited to mislead. We check each one.

Should our website have Easy Read content?

We recommend it. Many participants and families rely on Easy Read, screen readers or larger text. An accessible site is the right thing to do, and clear, well-built pages tend to rank better too.

Do you track participants in analytics?

No. We track enquiries and referrals by source, never names, NDIS numbers or disability details.

What does it cost?

SEO for NDIS providers starts from $1,500 a month plus GST. It always begins with a Practice Growth Audit, so you can see what needs doing before you commit to more.
